It's time to break some stereotypes...
Małgorzata Krauze: What did you expect to find out when you met our guest from India?
Monika Augustynik:
I thought he would be dark-skinned.
M.K.: What did he look like?
M.A.: Well, he was dark-skinned and he was tall and handsome.
M.K.: So, he surprised you.
Monika Augustynik: Yes, apart from his appearance, he was also very nice.
Marta Kornowska:
He sang, danced, talked to us, paid compliments.
M.K.: What did he say about his life?
Monika Augustynik: He gets up at 5 a.m., has breakfast...
Agata Zając: He has some kind of "dumplings", with sauce.
Marta Kornowska: And then he works.
Agata Zając: His stay in Poland is his first journey abroad. His flight was very long, with several stopovers.
Monika Augustynik: He likes it here. He appreciates our cuisine.
Marta Kornowska: But he wants to return to India, his family is there.
Agata Zając: And his fiancee! He wants to get married next year.
M.K.: Did your knowledge expanded because of the guest?
Monika Augustynik:
We found out that children in India go to school on the weekends!
Marta Kornowska: He told us about Christmas in India.
Agata Zając: The tradition is different there. At 2 a.m. they go to Mass. Then they have supper with their families and neighbours. They talk about Jesus and give each other gifts.
M.K. : Thank you for the interview.
